Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on CNC lathes, mills, and related production equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Rebuild spindles and turrets, replace bearings, align machine components
• Replace and align servo motors, drive units, and related motion systems
• Troubleshoot and work with PLCs, I/O modules, and associated control hardware
• Perform ladder logic diagnostics and control troubleshooting
• Assist in setup and/or operation of CNC machines (primarily Fanuc-controlled) as needed to support production
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and downtime
• Coordinate with outside service providers when major repairs are required

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on CNC maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting experience (required)
• Deep knowledge of CNC systems — spindle and turret assemblies, motion systems, servo motor replacement
• Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley), sensors, control wiring, and ladder logic troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and CNC machine setup
• Strong mechanical background; able to read blueprints and schematics
• Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, and diagnostic tools

What You'll Do

• Set up CNC turning centers and mills for production jobs
• Select tooling, set offsets, and verify first-piece dimensions
• Edit and optimize CNC programs as needed
• Support operators during production runs
• Maintain setup documentation and traveler records

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of CNC setup experience, turning preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with Fanuc controls
• Proficient with precision measurement tools
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

What You'll Do

• Load and unload parts on CNC turning centers and machining centers
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Monitor production for quality and flag issues to setup technicians
• Maintain accurate production records and travelers
• Keep work area clean and organized
